Hello!

Long story short. I need a new motherboard with the following requirements:
  • Micro ATX
  • DDR3
  • Socket 775
  • Overcloking options for my Q6600 CPU.

Could any one advise? Should I aim for a 2nd hand board no longer being made? Which one would you suggest?

Longer story.. Just yesterday I was cleaning inside my case and managed to snap half of a 12v PSU connector block.. That half is properly stuck inside the motherboard female block. Doh. My mission was to revist my 3.1Ghz overclock.

The post I was meaning to make was would I see much performance increase going to DDR3 from DDR2? I seem to be having a major bottleneck somewhere while playing Dayz. Well its a no brainer now since DDR2 ram is so expensive but I still welcome answers.

My bottleneck concerns stem from terrible FPS. Yet neither the CPU nor the GPU or SSD are being maxed out.

Please pardon my spelling with no computer I struggle :(

asus stiker II extreme but make sure your memory will run at 1.65-1.80v as this board can be temperimental at voltage below 1.65v at times.

My past experience with all things Asus being temperimental and the price this board is selling for rules it out. Would you be able to recomend anything else?

Thank you for your input :)

well their other boards using 790i chipset like evga they suppose to be good but i wouldn't know as i use the asus stiker II extreme.
