I have a Gigabyte EP45-DS3P motherboard with 4x1gb OCZ memory and a Q6600

I think there is an issue with my motherboard as my computer doesnt start when I leave it powered off for a while. It does eventually power on after looping for a few minutes. Progessor, CPU, RAM, Graphics card and PSU all pass tests

I also have a Crucial M4 128gb hard drive. Are there any older socket 775 motherboards that support SATA3?

thanks. Dont think ill bother upgrading, ill try and find a second hand 775 motherboard for about £30 or £40

What are the best 775 boards - Asus p5q, Abit IP35 and EP45? Are there some other good ones

The P5Q Pro/Pro Turbo/Deluxe are argueably the best boards but the Gigabyte EP45's are worth looking at as well, especially the Extreme. Would'nt touch a Abit now. Boards are getting on a bit now and no support either.

In fairness if you're buying second hand there's not much in the way of support for any manufacturer. I certainly wouldn't pass up a decent Abit IP35Pro / XE if you get the chance to nab one. Still a very capable board.
