Socket AM2/Am3+

What it is Im looking for a board that I can use my E6550 Intel CPU, and I came across that socket AM2/AM3+, but i dont know what that is. Can anybody put me on the right course on what board to get for my CPU. Thanks :confused:

Are there any other features or connections that will you need, like: crossfire/SLI capability, RAID support, many SATA/eSATA connections, IDE support or many extra PCI and PCIe slots for add-in cards?

Won't need crossfire or RAID, but I will need SATA for my HD and DVD R/W Drive plus PCI and PCIe.

Hi Monkeynut, That's a good board. Doesn't say whither it supports the 65nm CPU, but I suppose it does.

Yes it's a budget board with just 2 ram slots, but you'd be fine if just just installed 2x2GB of memory (4GB is way more than enough for gaming and general uses).

Not a bad board for a starter.
