Socket Covers

We're putting our son into his first proper bed soon and I need to eliminate access to his double socket. I'm aware that socket covers are a thing but I'm struggling to find one that can be used with a surface mounted back box.

Any suggestions?

I'm aware that we have the safest plugs in the world and I'm not after using the plug in type ones, more so the box type that can be fitted over them.

@andy_mk3 Blanking it off is a no go unfortunately, it's the only socket in that room sadly.

If your really determined, it doesnt change the basics of the socket but adds another challenge for him to get to the socket in the first place

So this is more along the lines of what I'm looking for but I'm after one that will fit to a thick back box

They slide behind the face plate so you should be able to loosen the faceplate from the backbox and then retighten once the cover has been added.
At least thats my take on how it would work with a normal back box.

After everything that’s been said, you’re still wasting your money?

Even if a child were to open a shutter, their fingers are too big to get in the socket.

I'm fully aware, thank you. Its the only socket in the room. It has devices plugged into it that require constant power. I'd much rather my son not have the ability to turn these off.
