Socket ID help

I want to move this socket (see below) but short of shoving it under the floorboards and leaving wiring intact, i can't see how i can...

Last time i touched it, the phone line went down, so it's obviously part of the ring...

Any ideas? Or a compact alternative?

It's currently where a piece of furniture should be going

It's definitely not the master, that's in a different room and was recently modified to take the openreach face plate when infinity arrived, the infinity modem is connected directly to it.

Which still leaves me stumped about what is it , i don't think the phone wiring is that good or layed out properly in the house so won't mess with it if i can't identify it
