SOF II on Win 7 x64

So I've just re-installed SOF II Double helix (Old game but I love it) and no matter what I do I cant seem to get it to run on win 7 x64.

Anybody here running it ?

Error message SOF2.exe has crashed.

Have installed the latest patch to no avail.

Tried all the compatibility options as well.

Haven't played SOF II in years but why i've nowt better to do, i suppose i could try install it see if mine works.

Worked on Vista x64 before the upgrade.

Works for me on Win7-64, no problem. Don't even have to set a compatibility mode, works as is without tweaking.

No idea what your problem might be, sorry.

Finished install and it worked first time, which is of no help, sorry.

Think i might play through it now tho.

Yup I am just installed it about 2 weks ago, still think its a great game

(and yes I'm on Win 7 64Bit)

Did full un-install and re-isntalled. Ran the wiser2 verification and everything verified as 1.03 and OK.

Not too sure but can it be a problem with openGL?

That is the last bit of info in the log window.

Yer I'm on 64bit and it runs fine for me, it's gone now though, let it die

I spent more time than any other game playing SOF2, good ol' days.

If you play now, hope you like ROCMOD or the crap variations of it.

Gonna try it on my lappy tomorrow. I have a funny feeling it is something to do with ultramon.

Yep me too pretty much, played online in leagues for a good few years. Nothing has come close to its online presence since imo.

I remember overclocking the crap out of my ti4200 so I was able to max out the graphics.

It's still got the coolest gore effects ever put into an FPS.

Fond memories playing v1 (none of that gold nonsense) for years. Such a great online multiplayer, so addictive! The community was great as well. Only servers these days all seem to be european ones, although its a testiment to the game that there are any at all! -john- clan forever! Lol
