SOF II - Who used to play?

Me and I still do.

Works fine on Win 7 x64, 1600 x 1200 is highest res but it will do for me. Loads of people still play it


Heres a quick shot from just playing now. This and Portal 2 is all i need at the moment

Unfortunately I can't remember much about the single player, other than I liked it, oh... and I seem to recall the enemy A.I. being good for the time. I'll remember this soldier jumping over a box and then attacking melee style! :eek:

Going to have a look for my disc now.
 
Use to seriously love this game playing with friends against BOTS via third party mods for them + online play against other players. Use to love the hospital and barn levels especially.
 
Dammit! Dug mine out and installed it, Win7 64bit. As soon as I launch the game, I get a "... has stopped working" message and my windows display theme goes all messed up.

Seems to be down to the ATI drivers installed, but I can't be assed swapping and changing drivers at this point (it's a laptop, too, so I'd likely have to download modded infs, etc.).

Sad Panda. :(

this was the first ever multiplayer i ever played, first night i was on it from 6pm till 5am, reason i stopped was because i had a 12hour shift at 6am lol.

absolute mega fun game, the good times i had on that game were something else, what was your username?

i tried playing this a while back but could not get it to work with widescreen, also all the servers infact they were no servers at all online?

jor1 was my favourite map

what were everyones usernames btw, might remember some of you. any1 remember that OAP clan? also that really skilled dude who went by the name of ion

theres no point mate, i bought a brand new sealed gold edition from a website a bou 3-4 years ago only to find out that the key was invalid, you might aswell just download it from somewhere, i had to use a keygen to get my legit copy working, could not be arsed sending back and getting another only to see the same invalid message again. guess its been totally hacked and raven(producers) arnt really arsed about the game anymore.
 
Yeah, you're probably right. I'll bear that in mind. :) Funny thing being that although I didn't find the disc with the game on, I did find one old disc with a SOF2 patch on it and some Voodoo drivers, lol.

Seems ATI driver 10.4 and earlier is the one to go for in order to get this game to work.

Also seems that I can't get Windows 7 to actually install the bloody thing! ARGH!
