SOF2 Essentials?

I've just reinstalled Solider of Fortune 2 to have a quick blast on multiplayer but every server I go to wants me to download like 10mb of maps and mods, and they download at like 5kb/s, so it'd be easier for me to go and download all the stuff off the net but I don't know what to download, what do you guys recommend.

Get the Gold Patch definitely, and it's been a while since I played it but if you go on standard maps like Jordan you should only have to download some lame 'in-server' sounds - but yes the download rates in-game are awful

Oh yeah and you might have to download the latest Rocmod version, check out filefront or something
