Anyone had experience of dealing with this outfit?

link revised

Ordered a new armchair over three weeks ago with a two to three week delivery date but no sign of it arriving. A request for a revised ETA via their online contact form has thus far gone unanswered.

Have since found some rather unflattering reviews of the company elsewhere on line.

How long is a reasonable over-run on a three week estimate?

I have downloaded templates from the Which website and figure if nothing heard by four weeks from the order date I will fire off a "Time of the essence" letter to the company giving them ten days to deliver the goods (or refund my money). If that comes up blank I believe you have up to 120 days to start a chargeback process with the credit Card company.

A lot of large furniture is made to order. It means these internet companies don't have to keep a warehouse, or at the least, not a huge one to stock everything they sell. There could be delays at the factory.

Give them a call and see what's the case first.

Lo and behold, message on the answerphone just now when I got up off nights. The armchair is shipping to the delivery hub and we should get a delivery date some time next week. We shall see.

As a postscript, we finally got the armchair delivered on Friday after a failed attempt to deliver on Wednesday but the carrier (XDS) turned up and didn't have it on the van. D'oh. Four and a half weeks instead of two to three but at least it's here.

Not bad for £300 but due to various parts of our old suite expiring at odd times we now have the new armchair, an Ikea leisure chair which reminds me of those leatherette seats you used to find in German train compartments in the 1980's plus a DFS sofa with the infamous sagging seats!
