Hey all,
I've got 4 drives in a RAID 5 setup and turning on I got the message:
"ata2: softreset failed (device not ready)"
This repeats for a while until the system says that the raid's missing a drive.
So, is the drive a gonner? is it worth trying it in a separate system (a hassle with the state of the other system)
Can anyone explain what's actually going on with the softreset?
