I've dug out my old Garmin Forerunner 205 and have gone for my first run (Well, mostly walk :)) and I want to download the data onto the PC to view it, but I can't remember which software I used to use - I've tried a few out and the best I've found is "Pace & Place" which shows routes on a map overlay, and stats like overall time etc, but not much else. I'm sure I remember the old one I used having some fairly nifty features, such as the route being different colors or thickness based on how fast you were going on that section, things like that.

What software do you recommend for downloading GPS training kit to track your workouts? Is there any good open source software out there?

I am a member of fetcheveryone and it has a trining log that you can use and it has a download from garmin tool. Have you also looked at the Garmin site?

That's pretty cool, thanks, I've signed up and uploaded yesterday and today's runs. I haven't tried the Garmin software as I'm sure I remember it being pants - will have another look.

I do want something to store this stuff locally though, so any other software recommendations would be gratefully received.

Edit - Scratch that, just tried the Garmin software, seems to be the best of all the ones I've tried so far :)
