software for joining win ntfs partition

The last time I tried a similar thing with Partition Magic it totally messed up my MBR. I'm not willing to trust that software anymore.

Any free software out there, *that you would recommend*, that will help me? Failing that, shareware or demo apps? Last resort = handing over £$€s

Partition Magic is the only software that I know of that does the job...haven't ever had a problem with it...anyway, fixing the MBR isn't really much hassle now is it?

well, seeing as I tried all the utils I could get my hands on, and none of them worked, yes it is a hassle. Not that that has anything to do with this thread.

How to fix MBR:

Windows Recovery Console
type

FIXMBR click yes
FIXBOOT click yes

All done nice and easy and hassle free

But on the subect of your problem, looks like its PM or there is somthing called Gnome partitoner its a bootable drive managemnt software that will let you do that i belive

already trried both of those FIX* commands - no luck.

zap - it's easier to smash together a couple of partitions than it is to uninstall and reinstall every software app I have on there

Ah right, i had assumed it was all data I'm in a pickle with my laptop, I made the c partition 4gb instead of 6gb Almost no space left but i still would never bother with partition tragic, it's just too risky.

If only it was all data
