Hi guys

Basically I want to put together a DVD with some camcorder footage and a photo slideshow with music all on one disc.

Put the DVD in the player and the menu pops up with either option - video or pictures in slideshow with music.

Can anyone suggest some software to use?

I have been searching and found stuff that will edit video to DVD, and software that will make DVD slideshows from photos, and even overlay music, but...

I can't find any software that says it does both - or rather, can put both onto one DVD.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance. :)

I am not sure but you may be able to do this with Proshow Gold.

I know you can build 'shows' within the process but not sure whether you can mix them.

Google proshow and have a look on their forum. I am at work at the moment so cannot test.

You could use something like Premiere, if you import a photo to it you can drag and drop it on the timeline and set how long you want it to display for, you can then use a huge range of transitions to cut to the next picture but this will be time consuming if you have a lot of them, once finished you can burn to a dvd

I've used proshow gold to make photo slideshows with embedded AVIs and background music so I guess it'll do what you need......also makes neat little stop-frame animation movies.......

Easy to use, if a bit slow at times!

I use Pinaccle 9 for this , it's mainly for video editing but you can add pictures as well as video . Another good one for video editing is Serif movie Plus 4 or 5 . This has some great effects . Stand alone slide show producers are Pics2TV, Memories on TV, Pro show gold and a one I think is great which is a one by Canopus .You can download a working demo from there site ,only downside is it will only let you add 1 mp3 [ you could join a few together ].This has some really creative effects and is only £35 to buy.
