I have a Hauppauge Win Nova-T tv card but the software for it is crap, no tv guide and things and everything looks dated. I want some software for it that comes with a tv guide but Nero and Sage TV dont work with for me for some reason so dont suggest them

Mediaportal is free and can be set up with a tv guide - pretty good if you tweak it well enough.

Thats brilliant thanks mate, exactly what I was looking for and its free! Do you by any chance know if when you set something to record, MediaPortal will start automatically at the time of recording and start to record or do I have to leave MediaPortal on when I want to record something later?grahamjenks said:
