Morning fellow Techies!
I've been drafted to design a layout and implement a new display system for our sales team.
What I'm looking for is a recommendation or some thoughts towards a system that will be linked to a PC to display various bits of sales information for the sales team.
What my CEO is looking for, is a section for how many sales done, current top sales person, contract targets, total pending approval, total approved, graph to show target and the progress for the month etc.
I've ordered the monitor, and I'm rebuilding a PC using Win 7 Pro 64bit.
I had previously created a similar system for our support team, which is connected to our phone system to show how many calls have been taken, call backs pending, missed calls etc. For that I used something called TIM plus, which for those of you who aren't familiar with it uses a web browser to local server to show the statistics. While I haven't looked at it for this solution, I don't believe it will give what we need. My CEO made it clear he doesn't want to have an Excel spreadsheet showing.
Ideally, I need it to update every 2 minutes. So whether it uses a graph from an excel sheet if our admin update the figures it then updates the graph on the sales display.
Hopefully I've made sense through this, so chaps and ladies any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated.
