I am looking into building a USB button box which I can map shortcut to, like the media buttons on 'fancy' keyboards.
The plan is to rip apart a cheap usb game pad and use the internals, maybe swapping the buttons for the desired look/feel.
All I need is an app that can run in the background and capture the button presses and run macros or shortcuts. If the program could run at start up and cope with the pad being plugged in and unplugged without any additional inputs, then that is ideal. A bit like turbopad but for gamepads.
Thanks in advance.
