On my Dads laptop running Windows XP, he uses Autodata and it stopped working. There is no un-installer and nothing in remove programs control panel so I just deleted it and removed any related entries from the registry. No when I go to re-install it I get a pop up error saying integer not valid then another comes up every second and they start filling the screen.

What have I done? I tried a system restore but it failed as 'No changes had been made'.

Any suggestions? Really need to fix this and would rather not have to re-install windows.

Thanks

I tried another user account, same thing happens.

I tried using Process Monitor but nothing comes up when I use the filter.

Here is a screen shot

I select language then it starts happening straight away. No point calling them as this install works fine just this laptop after I deleted the old install.

I ended up formatting the laptop and doing a full re-install.

Now I can install Autodata but as soon as I try to open it I get an error message saying unable to open and the useless error reporting window. I even tried to install the older version of Autodata and I get the same thing.

It says

Error Signature

AppName: adbcd.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: kernel32.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.5781 Offset: 00012afb

Under technical info there is loads of stuff like this.
Code 0x0eedfade Flags 0x00000001
Record 0x0000000000000000 Address 0x000000007c812afb

Any ideas why it won't open?

Thanks
