software make GIF from video?

anyone recommend me a software to make a GIF from any video? free one would be nice.

Gave you the top link to download youtube videos.Select the output profile as MPG2 Video[VBR],that works with the gif animator.You'll need the Virtual Dub Mod also.(Both in the second link)
