Software other than hardware manuf for temps?

What software should I use to monitor my temps (other than the default mobo manufacturer one, as that just plain sucks IMO - Gigabyte could really learn something from the others.)

I would prefer something that does not consume too much system resource, but also provides a form of logging, be it just history you can write away, or logging to a text file.

Suggestions?

I have a Gigabyte DS3 and an ASUS A8N-SLI premium. (plus some others but these are my primaries).

Core Temp beta 0.93. This program is meant to provide more accurate temperature readings and it also creates a log of temps.

motherboard monitor 5?
speedfan?

Neither of these appear to be up-to-date, and are reading my temps completely out of whack (I don't think my processor is -68C and my mobo at -5)

I'm wondering, would a program written for another vendor work with this board (Asus Prober on a Gigabyte board for example?)

speedfan - are you using v4.31? http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php

A quick nose at the site, I do see your board mentioned.

OR... isn't there some generic nVidia tool called nTune which gets at all the sensors? Have you tried over on their site?

OR... maybe it is just very cold in your house. LOL. :D
