Software query - mp3/video

Hi all,

What would people recommend for the following?

MP3 Capture? (from external source)
MP3 Editor?

Video editing - conversion to handle WMV / AVI / MPG RealPlayer / Main formats. Currently using Windows Movie Maker but doesn't handle enough formats and some of the editing features are a bit limited.

for sound; Sound Forge by Sonic Foundry but you will need the mp3 plugin to edit mp3s. I think tts limited to 5 files to be edited without the plugin.

Sorry I dont edit videos.

Audacity for sound files.

For Video files use VirtualDub. Loads of guides and will do anything you need.

Plus its free.

In that case I recommend Adobe Creative Suite.

Very expensive. Might get good deals on the CS2 version if there are any stockists offering a discount.
