Does this exist? I've looked on Google and can't seem to find anything that works and I thought it would be something that was quite common?

I have a DVD player in my car that says it takes DVD Mp3's. I thought it would be the same process as a CD but the software i've seen either creates a DVD with menu's (that takes forever as it has to convert all the mp3's) or doesn't support folders.

I thought it would be as simple as an mp3 playlist and a load of folders like the cd counterpart?

Any suggestions?

cheers.

I thought so but when I did this it didn't recognise it because I think it needs a playlist.m3u file. I usually use Roxio to do this as it created the playlist file by it's self but the version I have is quite old and doesn't support my DVD player, even if it did i'm not sure if it's that simple on a DVD?

You should be able to create an m3u playlist file with any decent audio playback app - just queue up all the folders you want to burn to the DVD, and save the selection as "playlist.m3u" (or whatever name your DVD player prefers).

Provided you save the playlist file to the same location as the audio folders, the relative paths to the files should be preserved, so you can then just burn the folders to a DVD in the normal way, include the m3u playlist in the DVD's root directory, and hopefully your player should be able to find everything OK. :)
