Software to act as answerphon on 4 different lines?

Right what im after is a machine that can be an answerphone for 4 seperate phone lines. I thought that i could stick 4x pci voice/fax modems in a box and then get some software to answer phone calls on any of the lines they are plugged into.

Would this work?

And what software would do the job?

and is there a 4way pci modem card for this purpose?
