Software to backup my Blu-ray collection

AnyDVD-HD is all you'd need then just drag+drop from explorer and play from folder in your player software.

Title says it all space not a problem, want to watch blu-ray movies from hard drive in perfect quality
You know that it takes up to 45-50GB HD space per disc right? Then you will get problems playing back without spending a long time re-encoding the rip (hope you have a mega fast CPU) as very few software players play the rip back now. In fact I can think of no commercial ones which would playback without audio stuttering issues.

Cyberlink disabled it from 7.2 onwards so any hard drive Bluray or HD-DVD image will not playback on it at all as they had to disable this feature or lose the ability to get the regular updated HDCP encryption keys for BD 2.0 etc etc. You can probably get around this for any hidef disc released before March 08 by blocking powerdvd from talking to the cyberlink servers but last time I tried this it refused to play anything back until it had downloaded the updated encryption keys

I looked into this a few months ago and estimated it will take approx 3-5 hours per movie to remix then obviously the disc space is a large overhead so not worth it for all the time/hassle which is usually longer than the actual movie itself!! (1.5 hours to rip on anydvd-hd with my quad core extreme edition cpu).

If you know of a quicker way please let me know as I would love to hear of it.

Ignore AWPC.

AnyDVD HD is what you need, but DO NOT just copy using explorer use the AnyDVD Ripper or you can have problems. Then you can use ImgBurn to create an ISO, mount with Daemon Tools and play with PDVD8 or if you have PDVD7 3319a you can play from the HDD.
To save space you can strip out what you don't want with tools such as BDEdit and TSRemux. I remux the main movie to an MKV with eac3to and use Media Player Classic for playback.
