Hi, firstly, excuse my ignorance; I have no idea about these things.

I want to make a copy of a DVD (no copyright infrigements) but I have no idea what software to look out for. Actually, I was hoping to be able to download something, granted that it would be legal for me to do so. I suppose I could buy something, but I only need to make myself a spare copy of something. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Edit: I hope I've posted this in the right section. :o

OK. I am going to assume that it is a Video DVD that you want to copy.

Assuming that the DVD is a single layer disk then download DVD Decrypter and install it.

After installation run it (MODE>ISO>READ from the menu) and then put your DVD in the drive that you are wanting to copy. In the info box on the right hand side it will tell you how many layers the DVD is. If it is only 1 layer then click on the big button at the bottom to put the disc image on your hard drive.
Once on your hard drive click on MODE>ISO>WRITE and select the ISO that you created and click on the burn button.

Hope that helps :)
