software to edit PDF files suggestions,

a friend prints PDF's and writes on the printouts, he then scans them back in and emails them...

so we want some simply software so he can edit them (as in put comments on we dont expect or need to make the pdf look perfect afterwards)

any suggestions?

Adobe Reader does this, Just right click and add text.

I use to do this with Openoffice (completely free) most likely LibreOffice does it too.

mm i'd possible suggest PDFCreator, save the scans as BMP or JPEG then edit then re-print them to PDF... i dont think this is what you want to do though, and it depends on what editing you want to do..
i never managed to get openoffice to edit the pdfs myself.

You just have to add in a plugin for it.
