Bought a 750watt gold 80 5 years ago , over the 5 years i have run into a lot of system errors kernel 41 but ultimatley it didnt hinder operation 95% of the time and couldnt pin point it to the psu.
recently i have been getting black screen when running extensive programs like gaming sometimes it runs briefly then goes dark, i reseated the pcie slot and it worked for a time then dark.
i have run an occt stress test on all compoments . not getting any errors on the psu but the system shuts of before restarting during power test
The psu had a 3 year warranty so im skeptical

My main concern is wether the issue is with the gpu.

How can i test the psu to be 100% certain before investing in a 1000watt psu and it turning out to be an issue with the GPU

No software can test the psu.

It could be anything on your pc that’s faulty.

Remove all the components and test the pc, add components back until you get the same issue.

Using a known good working part is the first thing that any tech support guy would do first but not everyone has a spare PSU lying around.
The strange thing is i thought it was the psu or gpu because anytime i ran a game it would randomly go black screen, this happened very time a game was loaded. now for some reason the games work fine now with no black screen, any idea what components would be that unstable but still essentionally work its totally random, ive done an occt test whjich ran the power test and it always crashes, would a failing psu function in that manner that it powers the gpu and then doesnt i would have thought a failing psu the system would not start
