Hi guys, just wondering if there was a software that would take wired internet connection and using the wifi on the laptop act as a access point so that other Wifi device can connect and use the internet connection?

I got this type of software for my nokia Joikuspot (takes 3G connection and allows other device to connecting using wifi)

Thanks

never knew that, on the laptop its win7 RC1, so once its bridged how will say my nokia 95 find the laptop as it would need to give out a SSID right?

hmm I was thinking you meant the other way around - recieve wireless on the laptop and pipe it through to the wired. That's what i've done. I would think setting it up as an access point would be more complicated. Have you googled this? If it's possible you'll probably find an answer.

Yh i gave it a google and there was no answer to the solution, if my symbian OS nokia phone can take a connection and use it's wifi as a access point then i cant understand why a windows pc cannot lol

As mentioned above, you can do it by running the network setup wizard and configuring your laptop as a default gateway, connecting through the wired connection and allowing connections from the wireless to access the internet. You just need to set up a wireless network from the laptop that other things connect to.

If I get you right, you want to use your computer as a wireless router in essence? It can be done by using the Wi-Fi adhoc mode - however - when I last tried it you could only use WEP and not WPA to secure the connection (this was several years ago however).
