Software to play HDV in XP?

What software will play HDV video in windows xp? I've tried media player but it doesn't want to know

Media player works fine for me, as long as its 10, version 9 didnt work too well.

same here, depends on what codec is used mp10 or any player for that matter will play it if you have the correct codec

Just that I got a video from dangerous a while ago and completely forgot about it. Its HDV or something and while he said you need a decent pc to play it my opty shouldnt struggle so it must just be missing codecs in mp10 then? Cheers for the reply orifice

Media Player says error downloading codec and does nothing else

Try VLC player, plays near enough anything. Or ask him what codec he used for it.

tried several on mine and they worked fine
