Software to recover deleted files.

Just had a call from a member of the family in regards to getting back some documents.

Yes he deleted the files and emptied the recyle bin and now wants to get them back.

So firstly is there any good free programs that is capable of such a task

There's several freeware or trialware avilable from tucows or the othr reliable download sites. I've inherited several from magazine cover discs.

Tell the owner not to use the pc at all to prevent the deleteted files from being overwritten by the OS, ideally detach the disc and put it in an enclosure or attach to your own PC.
