Software to track projects, and set reminders based on pre-defined dates?

Hi All,

I'm trying to figure out the best way to track around 30 ongoing construction projects for work.

I need to be able to set a start / completion date for works, and programme in reminders at certain stages.

Ideally the reminders would be sent automatically, but having to load up a spreadsheet / programme is okay.

Is there any standard software that can do this, potentially Microsoft Project?

Microsoft project is whats used in the industry.

I am a Construction QS but as far as i am aware it wont send email reminders.

Microsoft Project can send email notifications if you have a Microsoft Project Server setup.

You might want the Server edition of Project I think. You can configure it to send emails/appointments etc to individuals based on your schedule.

server edition sounds expensive, ideally i want a free solution, or a project standard edition solution as i already have that
