I recently bought a NAS and was wondering whether i could copy files to it from within my pc rather than across the network?

Cheers

Just got this IF Drives thing working, very easy to use ... once i figured out i had to assign a Letter to all 3 partitions - Working in Windows 7 :)

Anyway, i dont know a thing about Linux and i was wondering ....

There are 3 partitions, 1st is 100mb, 2nd is 930gb and the 3rd - the 'Linux Swap' is 500mb. Do the 1st and 3rd partitions need to be so big? Can they be resized or will this just cause problems?

Yeah i thought the same, just a tad confused now :/ Total size is 930gb, copied 861gb ... only 7gb left :(

....... Ahh no worries, its letting me copy the rest across the network ... 3 hours to copy 861gb across hdd .... 3 hours to copy 50gb across the network :/

Nope, that didn't work either :(
