After many years in development, the fan made "spiritual sequel" to Descent is finally here...and it's free!!

It's a game like Descent / Forsaken (think Doom in a spaceship), the ships even have shotguns lol

I played the original at Uni. One of the most confusing games ever, but utterly brilliant as a result.

Another tit bit of info (which i did not know until game went live), this release is using the old UE3 engine. But don't let that put you off, as all the assets are being converted over to UE4

These guys, what they have developed so far with no funds, just in their spare time is pretty dam slick

....also hoping people who have never played a Descent 6DoF type FPS game before give it a go, as this genre is fresh today as it was back in the 90's.

I believe there is now 3 "Descent clones" in development mainly on emphasis on multiplayer, what's the 3rd one? I read about it somewhere other day.

Joystick (hard to master, but when you do, be harder to beat)

Thanks, but the M&K is just fine.

Even if the controller was speedier I'd still default to mouse & keyboard as I'm not interested in using those peasant sticks for anything other than as an absolute last resort and even then I probably just wouldnt play!
