Sold 4850 what next

I upgraded my screen week or two back to the 24" overclockers va jobbie now i had a 4850 but sold it as my m8 wanted it so he had it and gave me £70 and his 8800gt 512 meg.

My next question is the 4870 but that still only has 512meg ram so will that do the job or should i maybe look at the Gtx 260(280 out of my range) the rez of the monitor is 1920x1200 rest of rig is Q6600@3 gig, 4 gig ddr2 800 ram etc.

4870 is fine at that res and you can apply 8xaa easily on a lot of games so it has no probs with memory.

You could also go for the powercolor 4870 with 1gb memory.

Sadly the 1 gig of that is out of my price, think i was just concerned with getting rid of a 512 meg card that the 4870 wouldn't be upto the job but seems it is so that do me thanks.

my 4850 does great at 1920x1080. only 5-6fps differents from 1680x1050... but is 1920x1080 much different to 1920x1200?

a 4870 would be fine at 1920x1200
