Solid Edge V20 problem at work??

Bit of a head scratcher this one...

Basically one of our architects at work logged a fault with Solid Edge.

The issue is that the dimensions of drawings in the program randomly dissappear then re-appear, also when hovereing the mouse over selected parts they should highlight in red, however they do not

I have tried new graphics drivers and a fresh installation of Solid Edge but the problem remains, ive come stuck and not sure what to do

The only other options to me are 1)contact siemens 2)Re-build entire laptop(last resort)

Any Solid Edge bods who can help me before I try siemens?

Never used Solidworks, but it could be the graphics card failing. Try the 'scan for artifacts' tool in ATITool for 30min or so and see if it fails (the timer shouldn't reset).

I spend quite a lot of time using solid edge. The only time I've seen this behaviour is when working on fairly involved assemblies under windows XP. It's generally advance warning that SE is going to crash with an "out of memory" warning and advise me to not save the current work in order to avoid potential corruption.

My guess is that he's pushing the software harder than the laptop can deal with. How complicated is the model/what's the ram usage like?
