Solid, reliable router?

What are the options?

Wireless is not needed.

No modem needed.

5 computers in the house connected via cabling, LAN gaming and streaming.

Is a hardware router viable or too much faff?

Ubiquiti Edgerouter Lite + any 8 port gigabit switch.

Awesome router, I'm never buying a 'home' router again.

If you wanted to add wireless, I would buy a Ubiquiti Unifi AC Lite AP.


You need some basic networking knowledge to set it up, but there are tons of guides.
