Solid yellow light comes on motherboard when powered up

Hi Guys


I have built a small PC; when switched on the PSU; solid yellow light comes on the motherboard; the light stays on when I power up the PC; nothing comes on the screen.

I would appreciate anyone's help with this.

Motherboard is Asus Prime A320M-K

Have you tried a CMOS reset? We’re are you plugging the monitor in and what CPU have you installed?

Thank you for replying; I have a AMD Ryzen CPU and I am plugging into a HDMI port on my GeForce GtX graphics card.

Check your cpu for bent pins.

It sounds like a warning light, many newer boards have them, it should say either in small letters next to the light or in the manual what it means. The first port of call is looking this up. If it's a dead end there are a number of things it could be, such as incorrectly seated RAM or GPU.

I know the Asus Dark Hero yellow light is memory, try the cmos reset.
