hi
I have a solis hybrid inverter (5kwh)

I am at crunch time with going into new energy contract either octopus Go or Flux.

if I leave Go Faster / Go family that am on now I won't be able to get back on so need to get this right.

I am struggling to work out how to properly set up the inverter to how I want and can't make head nor tail of the instructions.

what I want ideally
1) battery charges from grid from 3am to 6am (easy)
2) 6am+ house runs on battery till either solar kicks in OR battery SOC hits 75% (not sure if poss)
3) solar charges battery to 100% and house runs off solar and battery if over 75% or solar and grid if battery at 75% SOC (not sure if poss)
4) 4pm - 3am house runs from battery until it is depleted - no forced discharge to grid - then run off grid. (easy)

5) go to 1)

at moment on Go faster it is easy

1) 8:30pm to 1:30am battery charged and house runs from grid

2) 1:30am-8:30pm house runs off battery or solar if available until flat then switch to grid.

3) go to 1)

has anyone with a solis inverter set up like my requirements with a guide please. if not I may just go to octopus go but I think I will be mildly better off on Flux until I get an EV.

thanks.

Are you on latest firmware?
I think from stuff I have come across on the web that solis and solax are linked.
My solax a few months ago picked up a new set of options, called peak shaving which I think is what you would need

I am debating a move to flux myself (from go) but it would require peak shaving to function as you list above and whilst I think its what it does I am not sure and none of the guides etc seem to have caught up.

thanks for the reply. I dunno mate, does it auto update the firmware? I know the software on my phone gets regular updates but I can't control the inverter from that just read energy usage details.

Typically I don't think they do.
Mine is OTA but needs to be pushed from Solax. So if as I believe solis are linked I would assume the same.
Best bet short term is probably contact solis with the inverter type and see what they say, how to and latest version.

No you have to raise a service desk request for it. They can do it remotely.

To check the firmware the password is 0010 to go to advanced information on the screen of the inverter. Then you can check online to see what version you're on.

thanks is that solis I have to contact or greenscapenenergy (my system installers)

For the inverter Solis. They're pretty good although you deal with someone from China they're quick at responding. They remotely upgraded mine and I definitely have more options although my batteries are controlled by a givenergy inverter, my strings are connected to the solis inverter.

I have fired off an email to them. not sure what info they need. have given the serial number of the inverter (it's shown in the solis app).
the inverter is online so hopefully gets sorted.

I also need to find my MPAN and some other details and stressing a bit because I can't. hopefully they are in my locker at work. I hoped octopus would cover all that for me given I already gave these details to them (I already export through them using SEG) but apparently I need to provide again.

Your MPAN is on your export I believe, or do you mean proof of it.
By default the fact you have an MPAN should be good enough, they can link it to your account and your install must have been up to scratch for the local DNO to issue the MPAN.

MPANs are on the national database. (I say national it may be by DNO, but they are certainly there. When I got mine part of the letter said it could take 24 hours before it would be visible on the database)
