Solnder on PSN

Had this game for the PC since it come out for it last December. Great game if your into old fashioned horizontal scrolling shumps. Not as professionally polished like 3D incarnations of Gradius V or R-Type Delta/Final, but still good on its own right. Only problem is just that the difficulty level is ridiculous though.

Oh right this is out for the PC is it? Didnt realise!
Dont suppose you've tried both versions and compared them?

Both versions are practically the same. I much prefer the PS3 version especially if you have a nice big HD television and since it isnt plagued with control mapping problems that the initial PC release had which needed a patch to fix. There may also be other compatibility problems too. So straight out of the box in fully working condition and hassle free, the PS3 release takes my vote.

Looking to buy this myself from PSN but noticed my credit card no longer worked on the US PSN. Played abit on the PC when it 1st came out but I always had to use my 2nd PC with XP as the game would not work if you had Vista x64 with 4Gb of ram or more.

I think its on the UK PSN malachi. Please check.

No worries malachi. I may try this on the PC first though. But playing this on a big LCD screen might be enticing.
Argh choices once again!

I absolutely love it.
I love "old school" horizontal and vertical shoot'em ups, and this one is a real gem.

Took me a few goes to get used to the alternate firing methods, and then, love it. Brilliant graphics, great gameplay, not too easy (also not frustratingly hard)

I love it!
Vin.

Average game. In hindsight, would not purchase. Difficulty level is a bit tough. Respawning feature is a bit naff and boss battles are overdrawn in length due to high enemy HP bars.

Default difficulty is Easy (Very Easy is below it and Normal is above). It is not easy.

Enjoying this game a lot - playing on 'very easy' and getting a bit further each time (so far!!). The visuals and music are fantastic, and I think the difficulty level is just right - with practise I don't think it will be quite as difficult as endless on SSHD, but I think these games tend to reward perseverance. However, this is one of my favourite game genres at the moment, which includes the frustratingly difficult & addictive Ikaruga :)

I would probably like to have the boss battles re-done a fair bit, though the first is quite fun :) Agree with the respawning feature not being the greatest but the developers seem to be open to doing something with it if there is a patch released.
