Solo luggage bag/case/etc

So my new focus is holidays and travel. And much will be solo. Especially the trips where i need more than a cheap wheely case.

For those who travel what's the best solution?

I have an osprey hikelite 18 that's amazing as a day pack so that would always come with me. But I'm looking for a "rest of my stuff" solution.

Obviously I want it to be as light as possible. Probably want an open like a suitcase one.


Main one I've looked at is osprey farpoint/fairview 40 paired with my hikelite 18.

If anyone has any other suggestions, that would be great.
 
I wouldn’t say I’m well-travelled but I had a Farpoint for my jaunt to south-east Asia and combined with some packing cubes it fit plenty in. Something on wheels is only as good as whatever ground is underneath it and if you’re only taking what you need you should be able to fit everything in a backpack that goes in the overhead.

I've decided to go for it.
Went for the 40.and I'll use my 18l as a additional space and day pack

Definitely not a suitcase. (if you mean a literal. Suitcase)
