I bought the monitor from here when it was first released and have been relatively happy with it bar the well documented occasional DP disconect problems. At the begining of the year I upgrade my Motherboard to a MSI Z97I-AC Mini-itx (Videocard is a GTX 970) and tthe frequency of DP problems increased to the extent that I gave up with DP and switched to HDMI which for gaming after using DP is terrible, even picture quality isnt as good :(

Last week things got even worse as the HDMI was now playing up, when i booted my computer it would just hang on post and I'd need to pull the HDMI out and boot into Windows then plug it back in, this could take 5 - 8 attempts. I googled and tried various suggestions and fixes but nothing worked :(

However I found something that worked for me and could for others so I thought I'd share :)

I simply flashed the latest Motherboard bios and even though it doesn't list any fixes to do with video I've been running the monitor via DP for the past week and not a single disconect or any other problem, it's perfect :)

Anyone who owns or as owned this monitor will understand my frustration and now Joy!!

Btw - this is the third motherboard I've used with this Monitor as well as several ATI and Nvidia cards and I've always had DP problems until now.

I once struggled with this problem too. However I then started using dual link DVI instead (which ofcourse supports 120hz) and since then has been faultless.

The monitor needs fixing. I'm not sure if you are aware but ocuk actually mis sold it with a 3 year warranty when Samsung in fact only warrant for 2. May be fixable for free? Having said that mine was repaired once then went again and I got a partial refund.
