Having a hard time with my lack of experiance finding even a basic technicians job, so looking to expand my CV with some night courses next year.

Aslong as the days don't clash i can do more than one, is there any of these anyone would recommend? Do employers really consider applicants with the extra bit of CISCO networking on there CV?

if you're wanting to start out doing like desktop support then do the MCDST, then you should get a job no problem.

A CCNA is always nice to have if you want to go more down the networking route

you could always do the MCDST as it is cheap then get in with a company who pays for training and exams and go crazy

I'm not so sure.. I was hiring for people at work recently (on our help desk) and of the applicants we interviewed with a MCDST, they were useless! We went with those who could actually display the ability, not the nonses who are fresh out of college with a cheap and easy course like the MCDST.

Really, i worked in desktop support for a couple of months when deciding a career path and the company i worked for and 2 other companies i worked alongside were totally cracking one off about the MCDST

I'm not saying it makes people any good at desktop support but the companies were snapping up anyone who had one! They obviously had to be able to display ability too but if two displayed ability, one had an MCDST and the other never, the MCDST got the job as they were more sellable (contracting company)
