Hey guys,

I come to you in the hope that you can advise me.

I am looking to build my first gaming machine and I am in need of your advice to make sure all the components are compatible.

I have a budget of £1100, and with that I need the machine, monitor, mouse, keyboard and headset with mic.

I was thinking that some of the requirements would be a solid state, min of 12GB memory, a 22' monitor and probably Windows 7.

Any information and help offered would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome to the forum,

These days it's more like 8GB in Dual Channel (no Triple Channel). Then add another 8GB later on if you need. 8GB is fine for gaming, more is recommended for editing and rendering.

Basket(s) coming up, I'm sure.

Thanks for that very quick response.

I probably will add another card in future as well as upgrade the memory.

If I was to swap the R9 for a 770 would you recommend any in particular.

I very much appreciate the help.

Thanks again.
