Hi all

Setting up my first watercooling system and I have a few questions.

PC spec:

Q6600 3.6ghz
Asus Maximus Formula
Radeon 4870x2
Antec 900 case

Watercooling Spec:

XSPC res plus Swiftech 355 pump
EK supreme acetal cpu block
XSPC 4870x2 block
XSPC 460 rad
Tygon tubing
Fesser1 fluid
12cm Yate Loon fans

Questions are

Whats the best loop order? I am thinking RES/PUMP/CPU/NB/GPU/RAD then back to RES, is this ok?

Is it worth including the NB in the loop as it pre prepared for watercooling, or is it going to kill the flow rate due to possible basic design?

Is it worth include a T piece for drainage or can drainage be carried out without too much bother minus this bit?

any input would be greatly appreciated:D

Alll looks good, nice order for the loop, and when you put the T piece in, make sure you get a ball valve to actually empty it

IMO if you are planning on overclocking, it is worth watercooling the NB as well, although you would be well advised to take it off the heatpipe assembly job and make sure it has an adequate amount of thermal compound between it and the heatpipe block, and also between the heatpipe block and NB heatspreader while you are at it. The default compound they put on in the factory is notoriously bad and often very badly applied. TBH it would be better however to get a proper NB block.

yep makes sense, might as well do the job properly, so new NB block it is :D and t line/ balljoint or whatever it's called, cheers for the advice peeps!
