Basically I have the upgrade itch at the moment, my G25 has served me magnificently over the last few years but it's starting to show some signs of wear now.
I managed to pick it up a few years ago from OcUk at the bargain price of £135.63
recently though I have been having the odd intermittent issue with second gear on the shifter (sometime it takes a few attempts for it to register), as well as the small dead zone in force feedback very slowly growing when the wheel is centered (this isn't a major issue most of the time, just feels a little strange). The wheel is also getting louder and louder though, the gear noise is worse than ever before and any strong feedback makes the thing rattle like nothing else. It's had plenty of use over the years and it feels like all the playtime is starting to catch up with it now.
I looked at perhaps just getting a new shifter, something like the TH8 RS, but I'm growing towards a full new wheel. I play a decent amount of rFactor, the Simbin games, Assetto Corsa, I'm looking at getting into iRacing as well, I also play a lot on the Gran Turismo games on Ps3 so I need the compatibility there as well.
The T500 RS looks to be the one to go for from a quick read around and a few youtube videos, but it's going to be a big shell out for that and the new shifter. Does anybody have any experience of moving from what I have to what I'm looking at? Do you think it's worth the extra cost? And is there anything else you would recommend checking out, as well as anything that might be in the pipeline? I also thought about getting in touch with Logitech to see if they can sort anything out as they've been fantastic with other products I've had in the past, it would be a big push though as the wheel is more than four years old!
