My sons friend has been asking his dad for a gaming pc for a while now and their plan is to get him one for Christmas. Can you advise on whats the best pre built system based on the below:

Budget £1000 (not including monitor but to inc the OS)

Monitor will be 1440p @ 144hz

He mostly plays Fortnite at the moment but this will no doubt change over time.

What would be the best all round pre built system that can play Fortnite at 1440p with settings set to high/ultra and to achieve a decent frame rate?

Is it possible for £1k

Cheers guys.

Lee.

If you can install Windows yourself keys can be had for £10 SAVING £100 FOR better components.

Do you need wifi ?

Hi Micky,

We would need WIFI.

Im assuming to get windows we just download it and the purchase a key??

Thanks for your help mate

That's correct there are many guides online .

I have used slightly better components than standard config. Yo7 can also make changes to builds that not on the list by contacting them.

Would get them to change the cpu cooler from the brochen to this there about the same price.

Thank you Micky, most appreciated mate.

What sort of settings and frame rate do you think that would achieve on Fortnite at 1440p??

Ask them to swap out the B450 Tomahawk for the B550M Mortar Wifi. The Wifi 6 on the Mortar is much better than the adapter in the build above. It costs £20 more but you are getting a better board overall.

I would also go with 3200MHz Ram.

Also the Ryzen 5000 cpu's are out tomorrow. If they are not buying until Christmas then maybe consider the R5 5600X. The R5 3600 is perfectly fine though if they want to stick close to the budget.
