Some Advice on Crossfire Please

Hi guys,

Been using a Sapphire 4870 since release date and have to say I am very pleased with it.

Now I'm thinking of buying a second to run it in crossfire but just wanted to clear up a few things before I did.


Firstly I am running two monitors (24" & 19") so was wondering does crossfire support dual monitors,

and

Secondly is it worth it (I mean the price at the moment is great)

I've been thinking, a 2nd 4870 means two further 6 pin power connectors, meaning I am not even sure my PSU is up for the job

Using an Enermax Liberty 620W Modular PSU

You could do what I've done and get one of these:-

About £23 if you have a hunt around.

Did it to supplement my Corsair HX620 - would probably have been enough but I have a hefty overclock and quite a few hard drives so thought better safe than sorry.

however I also need to know if crossfire runs dual monitors ok (or have i got my wires crossed with regards x2 version of cards)

I beleive Crossfire supports dual monitors, but only one gets 3d accelerated (I think)
