Well, once again in a situation picking monitors and GPU's (I really need to stop)
Anyway, I tried sticking with my 27 inch Asus VG27AH 3D screens and getting 2 TN panels to go on sides, but not only is 27 inch too much, but mixing and matching panel types wasn't a great idea. So I got used to the idea of letting go of the VG27AH, which is fantastic, but then I got used to the idea of dropping 3D entirely. As much as I enjoy it, it's just additional headaches - and when going multi gpu and multi monitor, I won't be needing any more of that.
Anyway, am rambling. So, have got 3 x Dell U2414 on order. Was all set to drop Nvidia and go back to AMD for better multi-screen support, but just wanting to check with some who may know whether this will be true.
Was going to sell the 780 lightning and go for 2 x R9 290 (something like Tri-X or DCU II).
Nvidias surround support is a bit dire. Things like coming out surround mode disables side screens, sometimes bezel corrected resolutions disappear, having to re-setup for unknown reasons.
But one thing I do like about Nvidia is their custom resolution feature - makes it very easy to determine what you can push the monitor to, and helped me run the VG27AH up 108Hz, which was fantastic...
So, is it really going to be less headache on AMD front using Eyefinity?
