Some advice please

Hi I'm building a new PC for somone else. I think I've worked out the spec and just need to check with someone. I won't be doing any overclocking but it does need 4Gb ram with the potential to add another 4 Gb later. My main concern is the mobo & RAM. Could anyone tell me if this set up should work ok?

Gigabyte P35C DSR3
Intel Q6600
OCZ 4GB (2x2) 5400C5
HIS ATI 2900 XT 512MB
Corsair 620W
Windows Vista ultimate (64 Bit)

It's going to have a couple of DVD drives & 2 hardrives.

Will the PSU be enough? And will the mobo & RAM be compatible?

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome to the forums, everything is compatible there. The graphics card is fairly power thirsty from what I have seen but the PSU is more than capable, it should even be able tp cope with two of them if necessary.

If you don't need all the features of Vista Ultimate then you could save £50 or so by getting Premium. :)

I thought there was a difference in the amount of RAM they both recognise. I could be wrong but since this is going to be the last new PC for a while I wanted it to be as future proof/upgradable as possible.

Thanks for the welcome.
