Some advice please?

The freezer 7 is okay for a little overclocking (read a bit better than the stock cooler) but I'm not sure that you'd hit 4GHz on it.

Graphics card wise I'd probably just swap out your current card.

RAM: The one you bought should overclock a bit, especially if you loosen the timings to something like 5-5-5-18.
 
Hmm i'm thinking overclock the E8400 to around 3.8-4 ghz (that should be possible with my specs?). That way i'm getting some more performance, and it's not costing me ;). Replace the HD4850 with a HD5850, this should allow me to run 3 monitors with eyefinity? Is it possible to use adapters, as i'm not looking at buying monitors that have displayport connections.
 
The only issue i've got now is whether the 5850 will comfortably run 3 monitors at 1920x1080, and how I can do it without displayport?
