Hey all. Looking for a new build quite noob at this sort of stuff and so would like to just buy a premade system. Was looking at the 'primo 660 gtx' which with an OS comes around £670 inc vat-don't really want to spend more than this.I've got a 19inch monitor and mouse and keyboard which I will be upgrading (monitor to a 24inch) on next pay day.jus wondering what you guys think of this rig for playing new css.global offensive, battlefield games among others with some potential for future upgrading?also in the specs it says the 660gtx is 1024mb but I thought you could only get it as 2gb??just double checking.

Cheers in advance!

The only thing I will say is you are paying a premium for prebuilt ocuk like everyone else still have to cover the time spent building it up for you. If you could start with a budget and you felt confident getting your hands dirty we could probably speck you something up which could be a bit quicker

Assuming that you dont feel happy with that then the primo like all the ocuk range (although the 5K+ boxes will stretch most people meaning of the word value) is good value

Also make sure ( check the system specs ) that it actually comes with a Graphics card ....as some of them Pre-Builds don't have a Graphics card included ..... :)

The "Primo GTX 660" seems a good price for a pre built with a decent graphics card and a quad core Ivybridge CPU.

As above if you're willing to build yourself you can generally get more for your money, and plenty of people to help out here. If you want to buy a PC and get straight into gaming then a pre built is the way to go :)

Theres only one way you get pro. practice :D

if you had help / guidance from guys on here would you consider building yourself. or is it defiantly out of the window?

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm getting more tempted to build my own after reading a bit about and speaking to a mate whose done it recently saying it is like lego but to obviously be careful.therefore, just to compare could anyone help me out with a build for around the same money (£650) so I could see how much better a build I could construct??again,no monitor or peripherals needed.and some good video tutorials you could recommend if possible??

Thanks again all.

Watch a few of the Newegg vids, good tutorials on building a PC.

Cheers guys.the build dunn gave looks great. However I need an OS as well, which will put the build at a similar price to the primo 660gtx.will the better CPU and mobo be worth it (potentially) instead of just getting the primo with it being prebuilt (and subsequently less hassle) in ur honest opinions??also do you have any opinions on the 660gtx over the 7850 as I can only really find the gtx 660 outperforming it in benchmarks.again, this is the card in the primo.it will b mostly used for gaming, I wouldnt overclock it.

Thanks again lads

I've done a build below with an OS, comparable to the primo build but cheaper.

7850 is one of the best value cards you can buy right now. They overclock well too, overclocking GPUs is quite straight forward. It also comes with 3 free games!

7850 vs GTX660

If you're after convenience, then get the pre built one. The reason people suggest building yourself is because most of us enjoy it and its easier than perhaps people think :)
